DESCRIPTION:The student congress is happening March 29th\, at Centralia College. It is the culminating event for the year long water quality and Chehalis river studies the students have been conducting. There will be approximately 300 students from grades 4th-8th attending this year. They are meeting to discuss their water quality results\, making pledges to improve the health of the watershed and attending workshops about topics related to the watershed. Come as you are! \nFrom the organizer: “This Saturday I want to clean up the eastern bank of the Wishkah River between the bridges. I will also be cleaning on Sunday just to the south of the bridge where the west end of the East Aberdeen Walkway\, if everything works out. \nIf you want to help make this area a better place to live by stopping the litter from polluting our local shorelines and have some free time\, stop by and pitch in. We have plenty of gloves and eight garbage grabbers now so you don’t have to get too dirty and it’s easier on the back. As well as a sharps kit to dispose of syringes. \nIf you don’t have time to come by and you still want to help out we can always use garbage\, gloves (of any kind)\, hand sanitizer\, and other donations and sharing the events also helps out too.
