The Chehalis Watershed Festival was envisioned by the Chehalis Basin Partnership as the best way of teaching the local community about the natural resources that are the cornerstone of environmental, social and economic health of the upper and lower basin. The Festival is also recognized in the Chehalis Basin Lead Entity’s annual work plan as an important way to engage citizens in salmon recovery. This family-oriented community event has been ongoing for the past 11 years.
The Festival Organizing Committee has decided to not hold a single Festival in 2017, but instead be present at multiple other events during the year. The festival will have a 10ft by 20ft tent at a variety of community events that includes hands on education activities for the whole family. Look for the Watershed Festival at:
Ride the Willapa – June 24, 2017
Summerfest! in Centralia’s Borst Park – July 4, 2017
Splash! in Aberdeen – July 4th, 2017
Lake Sylvia Fall Festival – September 17, 2017
